Power Dialer:

A Power Dialer is a system, that no matter how many people are logged into it, dials a preset number of lines per user.  What that means is, if the dial rate is set to 5 lines per user if 3 users are logged into the system it will dial 15 lines at a time if all the users are available, and it will not be limited by abandonment rate, or predictive algorithm’s.

Hosted power dialers do not act as predictive dialers in utilizing a predictive algorithm to determine the number of lines (or phone numbers) to dial based on average wait times, talk times, connects, and the abandonment rate.  A Power Dialer will dial the set number of lines, or phone numbers, per user no matter what.  This makes a Power Dialer more powerful than its counterparts but less sophisticated than a predictive system.

The YTel Dialer, also known as the Cloud Dialer, has the capability to switch between Power Dial and Predictive Dial modes at your discretion, giving you the best of both types of systems.  In the dialer you have the ability to set it to “Auto”, Predictive mode, or set the campaign dial rate from 1-5 lines per user, Power Dialer mode.
