How to Motivate Your Outbound Sales Team

Happy hour when goals are met

Happy hours and team parties are fun, effective ways to reward your team for reaching their quota for the month. Have the location and date decided ahead of time, so they know exactly what they're working towards and when! You could even cast a vote of favorite restaurants so employees can vote and get involved in the planning.

Individual rep trainings

Your sales reps are all unique; therefore, they all have different things that motivate them. Find out what those things are and create a bonus plan around that. It will take more time than a one-size fits all solution, but your team isn't one-size fits all, so don't treat them as such.

Offer a fitness package

Workplace wellness programs are more common than not these days, and provide a proactive way for employees to de-stress and take their mind off work for a little while. Call center jobs can be stressful, so providing an outlet is a great way to keep them motivated. Whether you're offering a gym membership, or hiring an instructor to come to the office twice a week, or even organizing company walks during the day, every little bit helps your employees sweat it out.

Celebrate the losses along with the wins

The more no's you get, the closer you are to a yes, right? Therefore, losses are worth celebrating too, because that means a yes is on its way! Modifying the meaning behind a loss will shift the perspective for your team in a positive way, and can motivate them to keep going because a win is on the horizon.

Office gadgets and toys

Maybe it's a ping pong table, or a drone they can fly around the office, or a shared Sonos speaker so they can stream the music they like. Whatever it may be, supplying gadgets and toys will certainly help your agents de-stress throughout the work day and take a break from the trenches.

Deck out the office

Creating a vibrant atmosphere for your team will inspire success and drive. Motivational quotes and captivating images displayed throughout the office will get the juices flowing for your team every day. Make it a clean, functional place to work and keep your employees inspired by their surroundings.
