Senior Software Engineer (Java)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working with our current development team to build new features and products
  • Designing software based on requirements, but self-managing the project
  • Troubleshooting the cause of bugs and implementing a solution when needed
  • Seeking new application integrations for our products
  • Jumping in on high priority projects as needed
  • Continually thinking of ways to further advance our products or challenge the status quo
  • General coding, while being given the ability to innovate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Expert level Java development skills with application servers
  • Experience working with databases, and knowledge of data flows
  • Previous hands on experience with Scala would be ideal
  • NoSQL Database experience (Couchbase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop, etc...)
  • Ideally experience with GitHub or a comparable version control tool
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and ability to self manage
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Messaging services experience would be a BIG plus (ZeroMQ, Kafka, etc...)
  • Experience or knowledge of Lambda, Kafka, and Spark
  • Experience with PHP development would be very beneficial
  • Previous experience with web services would be ideal
